I love being at the beach. To me it’s an artists paradise of scenery. Many of my Painted Photography and Watercolor pieces are created from images of the seashore. Enjoy this gallery of images of different scenes down by the sea. These scenes are done in my “paintography technique” looking to create colorful, vibrant and fun art.
A colorful scene of the old Sunset Beach Swing Bridge. Having been replaced with a modern bridge a few years ago, it’s still a symbol of Sunset Beach, NC. I’ve crossed this bridge hundreds of times to get to the beach. While many saw this bridge as a hindrance to cross the Intracoastal Waterway. I saw it’s charm, beauty and historic uniqueness as of was one the few remaining on the Eastern seaboard.
I’ve walked under the Sunset Beach Pier hundreds if not a thousand times. Each time I am taken by the beauty and the sounds of the waves crashing against the pilings and encircling my feet.
In the sand dunes along the beach of Bird Island sits a mailbox called Kindred Spirit. This mailbox has been placed among the dunes for many, many years. Beachcombers come to sit and read the messages written by others and to write their own.
